Veoh TV 3.9.4.1036 - Free Internet TV

Traditional TV stations are losing more and more viewers, and most of them are moving to online content. Internet TV is becoming more and more popular, and I'm very curious to see how far it will go. I've tried some internet TV applications and most of them use huge amounts of memory and CPU time for unimpressive results. Today I'm going to test Veoh TV 3.9.4.1036, a freeware program. Let's see if it's any better.



The setup file is around 20 MB, so you'll download it pretty fast if you have a good internet connection. After installing the program you are invited to register, and you must do that if you want to use the program. Well, it better be worth it! With registration and all the installation will take about three minutes.

Pocket Wikipedia 1.0 - Offline Wiki

Perhaps the most interesting feature of this freeware, Pocket Wikipedia 1.0, is that it works on Windows PCs, on Pocket PC systems and even under a Linux operating system. I've tested it on my Windows XP system, let's see how it works.


. It requires no installation, just extract the files from the archive and you're ready to go. You can browse through the articles or search for the word you need.

Having a program that can show you the health of your hard disks is very useful. If you see that it's going down, back up the data and go buy a new one! CrystalDiskInfo is a freeware program that allows you to check the status of your HDDs. Let's give it a spin.



You don't need to install the program, just unpack the .zip file to a folder and you're ready to go. The package is very small to, just under 1 MB. As you can see, I have 4 hard disk drives, 3 Western Digital and one Maxtor. The information that this software provides is very good, temperature, health status and a load of other useful things.




It works on all Windows platforms starting with NT and 2000, up to Windows XP and Windows Vista.
I don't think I need to say more, this really is a good piece of freeware, very useful and reliable.
